Space Travel, Flying Cars.

Summer: Work, Vacations and Destinations!

Summer: Work, Vacations and Destinations!

TLO Commentary.

Are flying cars one of the ideological bridges to human colonization of other planets? We can foresee a future possibility where mini-thruster small medium and large and extra-large flying vehicles work not only on Earth, but help humankind to explore outer space habitats and new planets! Flying around and docking to and from space habitats, and connective maintenance refueling and rescue and recovery stations, can expand to flight above the ground of a new planet using new types of space-worthy engines and propulsion mechanisms designed for lengthy explorations and safe travel. Early generation space explorers "out there" in space in this century on the Moon and other planets can obtain a much broader view of the landscape (or planet scape) and think, dream, create, imagine their own futures, and record and document their trips to download them for non-space explorers!

Summer: Work, Vacations and Destinations!

TLO Commentary.

In May 2026, US Transportation Secretary Duffy decided to engage his inner reality television show producing energies and bring his family on a lengthy, privately-funded reality TV show trip across the USA! This type of stuff seems to be remaking the ways in which US government executive cabinet members are spending their working days...outside of any office and with more time with family and friends. By comparison, Robert F. Kennedy's video workout escapades with entertainer Kid Rock seem almost like adding a dose of mild hot sauce to a medium-sized burrito for creating new MAHA social archetypes, compared to the Transportation Secretary's extensive travel plans, which, again, his sponsors are paying for. Please don't misunderstand us. We are all in favor of paid time-off vacations for US executive office workers and their families and have nothing against any of that! Their jobs are presumably much harder than they seem to the general public! The Duffy TV production, however, is designed to encourage Americans to also travel and experience their own country in-person, and is certain to become one of the more style-changing approaches to conducting a US Federal service department executive office in the 21st century since Donald Trump accepted a 400 million USD gifted 747 airplane from Qatar in 2025. Seriously! But in essence.....what is really going on here?

As airplanes and airline companies fail, air traffic control and pilot language disconnects from normal "human language" ("Bow wow!" "Woof!" "Meow! Meow!") gas prices increase by single dollar digits daily for whatever of a variety of different reasons, and US State and Federal emergency weather-related events make headline news, we suppose that the Secretary of Transportation has a lot of normal work to do on his hands aside from sourcing new hires and keeping staff members informed, and busy at work, and applying new budgeting ideas for maintaining and improving American roadways, air traffic paths and international travel safety et.al. Considering the Internet and 5g fast communication standards in practice for people working outside of the office and home, however, new tangible expressions for working -and playing.....while still receiving a Federal employee check, have evidently made for new trends in US Federal work dynamics. Ever since Kristi Noem spent 200 million US dollars on television commercials advertising for making illegal immigration seem even more illegal, and more socially distasteful, than that situation already was, new US Federal expenditures pathways from the Trump office to his executive cabinet have also led to Trump's new "independent-of-US Constitutional law" self-driven innovation plans for remaking Washington DC into an exciting international and domestic tourist haven, public health insurance benefits paid by taxpayers into a fabulous new "business construct" meant to deliver expensive medicines to qualifying recipients, lower the cost of certain prescription medications, and apparently overloading the Secretary of State with at least 4 different types of jobs, including those of national intelligence and national security and ambassadorial trips overseas. All in all, over here at TLO, we're just basically confused about that whole new series of new job definitions and work trends and would appreciate some help from these elected officials with explaining "what's next?" in terms of accurately defining US Federal job descriptions for States and national educational updates, and making certain that voters don't interpret government and business constructs as being made of the same basic stuff!

But.....there is a new man leading DHS.  MarcWayne Mullin is today, Secretary of the US Department of Homeland Security. He was appointed soon after the firing of Kristi Noem. Since his nomination and appointment were approved by Congress, positive changes, mostly, have been taking place under his leadership. Despite recent US Senator Kim's experience at the hands of ICE agents who pepper sprayed him and protesters in May of 2026, the withdrawal of a majority of ICE Federal agents from California and Texas and other States have proved substantially impactful in terms of dealing with illegal immigration as well as ICE detainees, many of whom today don't have to wait months for new court hearing assignments and releases from detention or prison facilities, or safe deportations after being detained. And, new ICE training methods and teaching new agents about laws protecting targeted offenders and detainees' rights for immediate legal help and the immediate contact options of letting families and relatives and friends know where the detainees are being sent within hours of being arrested are part of the new "Mullin DHS", much to the relief of US Congress. Situations such as Senator Kim's and the Delaney Texas ICE facilities inhumane conditions are being used today as examples of what NOT to do in regards to ICE agents, crowd control methods and ICE facilities' overall maintenance, daily cleaning schedules and the onsite healthcare and nearby hospital care of detainees. And many targeted potential arrestees are being notified days or weeks in advance of ANY ICE arrest operations about the situations they are in and advised about the options that they have to voluntarily turn themselves into ICE or FBI or Border Control agencies without being arrested or "invaded" at home or workplaces.

Vacation Travel.

This summer has lots to offer for vacationing as well, but tourists moving about on airplanes still have to conform to Real ID laws and international passport and visa rules prior to boarding flights. Stricter TSA measures about carry-ons and alcohol or weapons in your luggage should also be reviewed and studied before you travel! Importantly, be sure to update yourself on your destination's travel and visa or non-visa and/or pre-registration rules and laws, communication and energy outlet adapters and medical and luggage insurance options before heading out of the country in order to avoid serious complications during your vacation.

Safe journey and travels to you and happy trails!

Is US Isolationism Good for the World?

John E. Staff Editor.

Who among us who grew up in the United States can forget what public school in America is all about? Being driven there and picked up after by Mom or Dad, or taking the "bus", or walking to school, riding a bike, a skateboard, or driving there oneself? Learning basic subjects like English, Math, and Social Studies, Foreign Language classes, Physical Education classes, various Science classes, elective classes like Home Economics and STEM and extracurricular activities such as Choir, Band and Athletics, are all ingrained into young people's attentions, consciousnesses, emotions, minds and bodies as they grow from school age into higher education! School activities, recess and mealtimes, safety drills, pre-game school rallies, student governance, social events, various parties, formal and informal dances, field trips, and much more, are vital and important parts of a whole education in US public schools. School is central and integral to childrens' learning -and lives- in the US, before and often after age 18.

But what happens when an executive decision to make US States each solely responsible for educational paradigms without any national agency for complex national education decisions and/or concerns, State and Federal funding allocations decisions and budgeting and assignments of monies, oversights and managements are deconstructed by.....the President of the United States and the US Department of Education leaders themselves? Is that divestment of national responsibility a good thing? In California, Governor Newsom has issued a leadership directive to study UBI in situations where AI and robots could replace human labor and ways to adapt the State systems to accommodate presumably larger numbers of general unemployment. Eventually, those studies will include the use of AI and robots in schools, as per the US First Lady Melania Trump's advocacy of humanoid robots as "teachers" and despite the far-fetched idea that that entails. The concept of a robot teaching in class is rather an enormous leap when one needs to program the robot for that purpose, one in which not even "just any human" cannot easily learn as a student or a professional, and then implement that knowledge into classes filled with real human children! At the present time, no such robot-or program- exists. And that is because a lot of teaching requires subjective analysis and research that humanoid robots aren't capable of, despite their present abilities to comprehend routine and repetitive instructions about movement and response movement, repetitive movements and adaptive movement and goal seeking in competition such as racing and soccer playing and boxing exercises.

Teaching children is a lot like raising children as parents, and human children have human parents. It would seem incredibly disingenuous -and dangerous-to create social environments where only objectivity and talking to students and not with students were to then be considered workable and credible institutions of education or academics!

That being said, newly available books about current robot and AI trends are coming for sale here at Climbing Vine Stuff! and you can look for them this month if you like or even hate the idea that one day your children will either be working with an AI based personal evaluation in class OR even a humanoid robot as a helper in school. I'm not saying  that it's a good thing that's coming our way. And I'm not even condoning the possibility of that potential new education scene-or scheme- in any immediate future tech trend in the USA, anyway! But I think that it's right that I should tell you, the reader, about those new possibilities that are on the horizon of advanced AI tech development so that you, the reader, can learn to understand the ways in that society is changeable for good or for bad or something in between. And you can be prepared to either support that effort, or completely eliminate that possibility using your own power to vote, intervene socio-politically, and even to not fund or fund any such changes by your own personal decisions, and involve yourselves in activities with your children!  And if you are a student, involve yourself with your teachers if you have questions and concerns about all of the above, so that the "future" of civilization, as we know that, is something that we, as people, still have some modicum or more options for, of and control, choice and power over!
